My Fitness Journey
I found the combination of strength training and self-myofascial rolling to be key in improving mobility and eradicating pain. I personally have had muscle pains and a knee meniscus tear and successfully managed both after consistently implementing these practices. I want to teach and encourage others to use strength training and self-myofascial rolling as a way to give ourselves the best self-care effectively, intentionally, and holistically.
I believe that fitness is a lifelong journey. It is fundamental to have a personable coach who you can trust, who will challenge you as an individual, and who will meet you wherever you are on your journey.
My Approach
I’m launching a new and original class format that incorporates postural strength training through barre & sculpt coupled with self-massage using foam rollers & therapy balls. I’m excited to bring the unique combination of core, stretch and self-myofascial rolling to give my students both strength training and restorative practices of self-massage.
I start the class with barre & sculpt exercises to strengthen, lengthen and improve balance. I transition to the second half with self-myofascial rolling (SMR) to loosen tight muscles and break up scar tissue. These techniques allow us to build muscle, improve bone density & mobility, increase blood circulation, and prevent & alleviate muscle pain.
I’m excited to design an experience that offers a fusion of core, stretch and rolling, all of which are beneficial for strengthening and restoring the body. It’s a corrective exercise routine that improves mobility and balance, while promoting relaxation. I demonstrate proper rolling techniques to relieve muscle tightness and pain using various self-myofascial rolling methods. It's an excellent way to prevent injuries and relieve muscle soreness from all physical activities, including functional movements and sports.
My goal is that everyone leaves my classes feeling empowered, strengthened, and relaxed, through both the cadence of the exercises, as well as the rhythm of the accompanying music. I invite you to join me on a journey that brings together strength building and soul nourishment.
